Fi sat outside in the courtyard. It was really sunny and a very nice day. She sat reading a book she had checked out of library. She wasn't paying complete attention to it instead spending some of her time listening to the birds and looking around the courtyard.

Peregrine Alexander came running in, his sword drawn, he looked ready for an attack.

I heard a noise and turned round to see what was going on. I saw a man with a drawn sword and jumped into the air. "Ahh!" I screamed at the top of my voice. I was deffinately not used to being confronted by sword wielding men.

Peregrine shrank into a corner and waited for an enemy to come into the courtyard. He did not see the girl behind him. Suddenly, a deformed creature burst through the gate. It looked like a deformed cat and lion in one. It looked up and gave a truely venomous snarl at Peregrine, saliva ((sp?)) dripping from its mouth. Without hestitation, Peregrine jumped out and ran his sword through the creature, who fell to the ground with a small crash and died.

Fi:
I hiccoughed slightly from nerves. Not good, I thought, I only do that if I'm really nervous. "Excuse me," I said in a small voice, rather intimidating by this man, "who are you and what are you doing here?"

Peregrine drew his sword out of the creature in disgust and wiped it on the ground, then on the edge of his tunic. He turned to the girl.
"My apologies." He said in a Scottish-accented tenor voice that revealed something about him, he was but a teenager. "I was in pursuit of that gargoyle there, when he was suddenly in pursuit of me." He explained.

Yuliya:
I walked in rather calmly to the battle field.
"Oh, isn't that so lovingly disgusting?" I said, putting one hand on the hilt of my sword. "What kind of sword do you have there? I have a tachi, there a favorite of mine."

"A Gaelic Claymore." Peregrine explained. "Its a type of Celtic longsword, its name is Revenger."

"Do you fence well?" Peregrine asked, a hint of a michievo=ious glint in his green eyes.

"Fencing is one of my specialties," Peregrine said. Then he drew himself up to his full height of 5'6" I challenge you to a duel." He announced.

"Oh great," I said quietly to myself. I really wasn't a big fan of violence, I hadn't even had my first physical skills lesson. That was where we got taught fighting and stuff. I wasn't too sure I wanted to do it, I would do it in the end I knew but I just wasn't particularly happy about the prospect. I couldn't understand how Yuliya could just go up tp him and accept an offer to a duel, he hadn't even told us his name! I gulped slightly when he raised his sword, worried about what would happen.
